Edmond Peeters 2023-2024
The Edmond Peeters Vocational School in Ixelles is a specialized type 1, form 3 school. It welcomes students with mild intellectual disabilities, such as learning disorders, behavioral challenges, and communication difficulties. The school has a vocational focus, and students graduate at the end of the 6th year with a qualification that allows them to enter the workforce.
For this project, we worked with a 4th-year class of 13 teenagers, aged 15 to 17, from the Applied Arts – Screen Printing program. The class visited Tic Tac Lab several times throughout the year to explore and learn how to use the fab lab’s main machines: the laser cutter, vinyl cutter, and heat press.
Before using the machines, the students were introduced to vector drawing on the computer.
